Places to StayBed and Breakfast
South Hooe Mine
Yelverton, Devon
South facing with outstanding views up and down stream. Jetty for launching small boats/ deep water mooring.
Sleeps 10. Doubles twin and single all with own bathrooms
Whole house to rent in July and August.
A cottage to yourselves with its own special atmosphere. The bedroom and sitting room are paneled in the original wood. Both have deep window seats from where you can watch the ever-changing light reflected on the water. You can cook your supper on the Rayburn in the kitchen. This could be beef lamb or pork from the farm. There is a wood burner to snuggle up next to in the sitting room.
For 3 days or more for total seclusion, you can stay in the Count House with the river below you. Gives you total privacy. Unhurried, you can live by the tide as Trish leaves all ingredients for breakfast in the fridge: Homemade bread and marmalade, sometimes bacon from John's free range pigs, stewed apples from the orchard and, of course eggs from the hens. Peace and privacy await you. Footsteps in the night are usually Martha's, the very antique donkey.
Sells own reared beef, lamb and pork
Home grown vegetables. Free range eggs.
