THE Arundell Arms in Lifton has been awarded the title of ‘Best for Walkies’ in the PetsPyjamas 2017 dog friendly travel awards.
The Arundell Arms received the award for leading the way by offering a pet-friendly experience for customers and their very important pets.
The ‘Guide Dogs of Great British Dog Survey 2017’ revealed that 70% of pet owners like to take their dog on holiday and The Arundell Arms is now among the top dog-friendly hotspots to choose from.
The Arundell Arms is a firm PetsPyjamas’ customer favourite with 28 five star reviews thanks to its perfectly situated location between Devon and Cornwall. It is the ideal dog-friendly base for stunning walks along North Cornwall beaches as well as the local countryside. Dogs are also welcomed with their own bed, a bowl and a delicious chew to start off their holiday.
Matt Redhead, general manager of The Arundell Arms, said: “We have always greatly enjoyed welcoming our four legged guests (and owners) to The Arundell Arms, and we take bookings for breaks year-round. Our enviable location on the Devon/Cornwall border means that we’re never short of suggestions for the perfect walk.”
Commenting on the win, he added: “We are thrilled to have won the award for ‘Best for Walkies’ in the PetsPyjamas Dog-Friendly Travel Awards. We have been working with PetsPyjamas for just over 12 months and it’s fabulous to have been given recognition for what we love doing.”
Co-founder of PetsPyjamas Karen Hanton said since 2014 the group has sent thousands of dogs and their owners on getaways and believe it is just as important for a four-legged friend to have a good time as well as their owners. She said: “We’re thrilled to share and reward those properties that have particularly excelled this year with their own unique brand of dog-friendliness, and The Arundell Arms are such deserved winners of the Best for Walkies award.”
