Quality mark for Moorland Garden Hotel with four AA Stars
The Moorland Garden Hotel near Yelverton has once again impressed the AA, one of the UK's most recognised and trusted brands, having retained its four stars for a second year under the world-renowned hotel inspection and star-rating scheme. The accolade, following a visit by an AA inspector, saw the hotel retain the four black star-rating first awarded last year, as well as the Rosette achieved by The Wildflower Restaurant.
Announcing the news, General Manager Andrew King said: “We’re thrilled to have kept the four stars from the AA. Not only that the AA judged the Moorland Garden Hotel worthy of retaining the accolade, but with an improved merit score too.
“That we’ve delivered great quality, consistently, has given the entire team a huge sense of achievement.”
The Moorland Garden Hotel has undergone an extensive refurbishment programme since Brian and Sonia Meaden purchased the property in 2011. The hotel was first recognised with a four star-rating last August, also gaining a Rosette for the quality of food in The Wildflower Restaurant.
In June the Moorland Garden Hotel introduced a new relaxed dining concept, an innovation praised in the AA review. Diners and guests can now choose to eat from the one menu in either the restaurant or the Dartmoor Bar.
