The third annual ROSE Awards, celebrate the accommodation providers whose efforts surpass expectations and the recipients can advertise their accolade as long as they remain in VisitEngland’s scheme.
ROSE = Recognition Of Service Excellence.
Nominations are triggered following the annual VisitEngland quality assessment visit and observations by the assessor, but other evidence, including online customer reviews are taken into account. The final judging panel also looks for innovation that sets the business apart. This includes facilities or services offered to make the customer’s stay really special.
The awards showcase outstanding accommodation providers across England.
Designed to showcase those establishments that provide the warmest of welcomes, the 100 recipients are all VisitEngland assessed accommodation providers; places where the owners, managers and staff really know how to delight their customers, irrespective of their star rating, style or type of accommodation.
Sally and Christopher Pancheri, who own Sally's HolidayCottages, in Brentor and Milton Combe have been welcoming guests for many years and were delighted to have been presented with a ROSE Award. The picture shows them receiving their award at the Independent Hotel Show in London and was followed by a champagne reception, where they were addressed by Andrew Stokes, Director of VisitEngland.
VisitEngland Director Andrew Stokes said:
“It’s great to see the diversity and quality of accommodation available across the country with each of these winners demonstrating outstanding customer service. And it’s this level of commitment to ensuring visitors have the best experience combined with the amazing range of settings and attractions that have domestic and international visitors out exploring and spreading the economic benefits of tourism throughout the country.”
